NSG Helps Fill the Wagon for Kids Charity of Tampa Bay
Children and education mean a great deal to the Network Synergy Group family. This past quarter, NSG joined Kids Charity of Tampa Bay, Inc. in their efforts to collect school supplies for children in need. The mission of Kids Charity is to improve the quality of life for foster children by providing advocacy, opportunities, support and resources. This foundation coordinates programs like “A Kid’s Place,” a residential care facility that protects and cares for neglected and abused children who have been removed from their homes. They also hold an annual holiday drive to ensure that foster children have gifts for the holidays.
This year’s campaign to “Help Us Fill the Wagon” with school supplies for abused, abandoned, and neglected children was definitely a project NSG associates wanted to get involved with. Many employees are parents themselves and know the importance of getting the school year started off right for kids by supplying them with the necessary materials. The company held a Back to School supply drive and encouraged associates to donate everything from backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, calculators, glue, crayons, and other items, to prepare students for the 2011 school year. The results were amazing! Employees filled donation bins and over twelve backpacks to the seams with school supplies. With the help of NSG’s contributions, Kids Charity was able to assist with preparing 3,200 children for school, the most the foundation has achieved since their inception in 2006.
