Bill Review Specialist
We are currently seeking a Bill Review Specialist to join our Finance Department. This role is responsible for reviewing medical bills to process accordingly with contracted rates.
Essential Functions:
1. Utilizes bill review skills and knowledge to evaluate medical bills for accuracy
2. Ensures that system data accurately reflects submitted billing information and makes any necessary corrections as needed
3. Assists with appropriately assigning contracted rates to workers’ compensation patient files
4. Various other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma, accounting knowledge preferred
2. Knowledge of CPT/ICD9 coding and medical terminology
3. Familiarity with workers’ compensation fee schedules, preferred
4. Medical billing healthcare experience
5. Proven ability to meet productivity goals and deadlines
6. Intermediate computer skills; data entry
7. Excellent telephone and customer service skills
8. Strong attention to detail
9. Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
