Our Leadership Team
A big factor to NSG’s success is our experienced and collaborative leadership team. This tenured group of leaders has extensive industry experience as well as their own unique areas of expertise that help to determine the strategic direction and delivery of services for our organization.
John Hanselman is President of NSG. John is responsible for executing NSG’s strategic plan and ensuring the overall success of the organization. Prior to joining NSG in 2005, John was employed by the Liberty Mutual Group. During his 15-year career with Liberty, he held various senior level operational and financial management positions including Chief Financial Officer of Summit and Senior Vice President & General Manager of Liberty Mutual Group’s Southern Region. John has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Operations Management and also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, with a concentration in Finance. In addition, John sits on the Board of Trustees for the RetailFirst Insurance Company.
Jim Harris is Executive Vice President and has been with the company since 1999. During his 10+ year tenure, he has been involved with all facets of the company’s strategic and operational activities. Jim’s current responsibilities include overseeing NSG’s Information Technology Department, Business Analysis Department, and Regulatory Analysis operations. Jim has over 20 years of experience in the workers’ compensation field. His diverse background has given him exposure to many different perspectives from within the industry. Prior to joining NSG, Jim worked as Client Services Director for Alexsis/RSKCo as well as various management positions in claims operations. Jim began his career in workers’ compensation claims with Summit Consulting, Inc. Jim is a graduate of Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations.

Pat Chavanu joined NSG as Senior Vice President of Sales in 2012. With over 20 years of experience in insurance and the managed care industry, Pat’s role within the organization is to originate new business and manage and cultivate relationships with self-insured employers, carriers, third party administrators, consultants, and brokers. Prior to NSG, Pat worked for PMSI as Chief Sales Officer, Intracorp as Vice President of Sales and Account Management, and GENEX Services, Inc. as a Regional Vice President. Pat has a M.A. in Leadership from University of Denver and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Nebraska.

Greg D’Ambrosio joined Network Synergy Group in 2010 as Vice President of Client Services. His responsibilities include directing client training and ensuring NSG's therapy management programs are delivered with ease, efficiency and support. Greg has over 20 years of experience in the insurance and PEO industries. Prior to joining NSG, Greg was Director of Risk Management for Modern Business Associates and previously held various senior risk management and sales positions in the PEO and brokerage firm industries. Greg began his career at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company in operations and underwriting. Greg is a graduate of Seton Hall University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. He has also obtained the designations of Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Associate in Underwriting (AU). Greg has served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Professional Employer Organizations (FAPEO) and authored several articles with respect to controlling workers’ compensation costs for the National Association of PEO's (NAPEO). Greg has also been a featured speaker for the NAPEO and Florida Workers' Compensation conferences.
Kim Lough is the Vice President of Care Management Operations and has been with the company since 2002. Her team is responsible for ensuring that the needs of NSG’s payors, providers and patients are delivered with the highest level of satisfaction and efficiency. Kim is also responsible for developing strategies and policies aligned with the organizational goals and client requirements. Kim has over 25 years of experience in operations and people management, and this diverse background has given her exposure to many different operating platforms. Prior to joining NSG, Kim worked as a Project Manager for Chase Paymentech Solutions, Manager of Implementations for Equifax Card Service, and Operations Manager for Army Aviation Federal Credit Union.
Pat Merrill joined NSG as Vice President of Network Development and Provider Relations in 2011. Pat is currently responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of NSG’s Network Development and Provider Relations Departments. She has over 25 years of experience working with large employers; providing solutions for their occupational medicine and workers’ compensation injury care needs. Prior to joining NSG, she was founder and principal of Health Management Resources, Inc.; a project based company providing consulting and contracting services for employers and physician practices in the areas of healthcare operations, business development, and managed care. Pat is a member of the Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation (SAWCA) and the Georgia Self Insured Association.
Nicole Morgado is Vice President of Human Resources. She has been with the company since 2003, and has been an HR professional for over 10 years. Nicole leads all human resources operations and works closely with the rest of the management team to enhance organizational effectiveness by implementing critical people initiatives. Prior to joining NSG, Nicole worked at TRANE/American Standard managing all human resources efforts for the District of Richmond and Roanoke, Virginia. Nicole is a graduate of the University of Florida, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Development and a minor in Education. She has been invited to speak at industry conferences, including the Association of Workers' Compensation Claims Professionals Conference, and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Nicole is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and HR Tampa.
Ray Lepage is Vice President of Information Technology and has been with NSG since 2005. Ray’s responsibilities are comprised of engineering, implementing and supporting all technology at NSG. This includes voice and data communications, proprietary software development, project management, and information security. Ray has over 12 years of experience in Information Technology. Prior to joining NSG, he worked as the Manager of IT – Directory Services for Capital One Financial, and spent a total of six years at Capital One holding a variety of senior technical and management positions. Ray began his IT career with GTE Mobilnet. He is a graduate of Longwood University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science.

Jennifer Bailey is NSG’s Controller and has been with the company since 2010. Jennifer oversees the Finance Department, which encompasses all financial and accounting operations. Prior to NSG, Jennifer worked as a senior associate for Big 4 public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and gained experience in various industries, including investment management, retail and manufacturing. Jennifer is a graduate of the University of South Florida, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida.
